Welcome to the Red Carpet Entry Program
HIV Care and Treatment is Open to Everyone Even Without Health Insurance!
The DC Department of Health wants all persons newly diagnosed with HIV to visit an HIV specialist right away. Unfortunately, one out of three people newly diagnosed with HIV wait three months or longer to see an HIV specialist. If you learned that you had serious asthma or diabetes, you would not wait three months to see a specialist. Since we do not want you to wait, we and our partners have set up a fast track process to get you through the door to your new HIV specialist. No long wait for a first appointment, no delay in getting your HIV evaluated and cared for right away. You do not have to give up your primary care doctor. Everyone can live a full and healthy life with HIV, but doing so takes learning about your HIV, and knowing that medications are available when you need them.
You deserve to be on the Red Carpet. So, head to the front of the line and get the best HIV medical care available anywhere.
