Special events held in the District are monitored by DOH's Special Operations Division within in the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Administration (HEPRA). All special events that occur in the District are required to have a Health, Medical and Safety Plan that is approved by the Special Operations Division of the Department of Health.

DC WIC provides a variety of nutritional, educational, and immunization services and resources to qualifying women, infants and children.
