APRN means “the performance of advanced-level nursing actions, with or without compensation, by a licensed registered nurse with advanced education, knowledge, skills, and scope of practice who has been certified to perform such actions by a national certifying body acceptable to the Board of Nursing.”

Application Types
1. Initial/Endorsement: For new applicants or those licensed in another jurisdiction.
2. Dual Application: RN and APRN applied for simultaneously. Fee: $145
3. Single Application: Adding APRN authority to an existing RN license. Fee: $230
4. Reactivation: For licenses that have lapsed but not expired. Requires CEUs and $34 fee.
5. Reinstatement: For licenses that have expired and require full reapplication.
Continuing Education Requirements
Applicants for reactivation or reinstatement must submit proof of completed Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required by the Board. CEUs must be relevant to the APRN specialty and completed within the timeframe specified by the Board.
