Well over 1,000 people attended Mayor Bowser’s Maternal & Infant Health Summit, and the event generated considerable excitement and national attention. The inspiration for the event was Mayor Muriel Bowser’s vision to improve the health of moms and babies and their families in the District of Columbia. With the Mayor’s vision and DC Health’s perinatal health strategy, we want to build on the success of the summit and continue the conversation surrounding maternal and infant health in DC.
This first follow-up meeting will focus on actionable strategies to improve women’s health before pregnancy, address barriers to early prenatal care, and prevent preterm births. We are very excited to convene a cadre of community leaders and key stakeholders committed to collectively improving perinatal health and creating long lasting equitable outcomes in the District of Columbia.
Attendance is FREE!
