Sexual Health can be defined as the state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality; and not merely the absence of disease.
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) was created to promote health and build leadership skills among youth and to empower the next generation of District of Columbia leaders and public health professionals.

DC Health’s Rape Prevention Education (RPE) Program offers free violence/sexual assault prevention education for schools and organizations in an effort to improve the health outcomes of DC youth.
School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are comprehensive primary care clinics that are located within schools.
The overarching goal of the District of Columbia School Health Services Program (SHSP) is to improve the health of students, enabling them to thrive in the classroom and beyond by creating greater alignment, integration, and collaboration between education and health.
