Harm Reduction refers to a range of public health policies designed to lessen the negative social and/or physical consequences associated with various human behaviors. DC Health employs its use while designing policies and programs that address drug use. In addition to our community partnerships with providers throughout the district, we also support our Medication Assisted Treatment programs with BupDAP, provide for mobile syringe exchange, and widely distributes Narcan throughout the District.
