Heat-Related Responses by Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

The following data provides an overview of heat-related responses by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the District of Columbia. These data include the daily breakdown of heat-related EMS responses with patient demographics of those most affected by extreme heat. Additionally, there is a map of heat-related incidents by Health Planning Neighborhood with District Cooling Centers overlaid. This dashboard is updated weekly from the beginning of May to the end of September. 

DC Health defines a heat-related EMS incident using the case definition developed in collaboration with Virginia Department of Health, Office of EMS.
