The National African American Hepatitis C Action Day (NAAHCAD) campaign is a community mobilization initiative aimed at reducing the high incidence of HCV infection in black communities by drawing attention to this neglected health disparity and promoting education, testing, and treatment. People in communities of color are encouraged to visit testing centers and be screened for HCV infection—a silent killer that, if left undetected, can lead to life-threatening liver disease, including liver cancer.

DC Health has partnered with the Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHI) and several other community based partners to coordinate this conference.  All Community Health Workers, peers, and other outreach workers are welcomed. June 27. National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) was first observed on June 27, 1995. NHTD is a day to encourage people to get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to care and treatment. The 2019 theme is "Doing It My Way".
