The HIV/AIDS crisis is not over.

World AIDS Day is a chance for everyone to honor the more than 44.1 million people who have died across the world from illnesses linked to HIV. It is also a day for people to speak and share their stories, remember those who have passed away, and stand united in the fight against HIV.

  • DC Health - World AIDS Day 2025 DC
    Details: Join us for an exciting World AIDS Day Celebration featuring live performances, free food, free HIV testing, and a wide range of community resources—brought to you by DC Health, DC Public Library, DC Health Link, ServeDC, and the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs; Evening Program; 6 pm reception with light refreshments followed by documentary screening; Panel discussion with cast and filmmaker.

  • A Day With(out) Art 2025:  Meet Us Where Where We're At... DC
    Details:  The Lily and Earle M. Pilgrim Art Foundation is proud to partner with Visual AIDS at the David Bethuel Jamieson Studio House at Walbridge. A program of six videos that highlight the experiences of drug users and harm reduction practices as they intersect with the ongoing HIV crisis. The videos will be streaming all day with an evening potluck, screening, and conversation from 6 pm - 8 pm led by host Peter Stebbins. More Information

    Details: The Frederick Center will host talks, tables, and perform HIV testing. Plus, for attending, you can be entered into a raffle for a prize basket and obtain extra tickets for talking with the various tables. HIV Testing will be provided by the Frederick County Health Department.
