DC Board of Chiropractics will host an open house at the John A. Wilson Building, to release the results of the 2014DC Board of Chiropractic Workforce Capacity Report to the DC Council Committee on Health.  District residents are urged to stop by and learn more about this important sector of healthcare.

Background: The Chiropractic profession plays a unique role in the healthcare delivery system of the United States. What is Chiropractic?  The American Chiropractic Association defines it as a healthcare profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.  Chiropractic is a drug-free, hands-on approach to healthcare. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills, and are trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
