Fern Johnson-Clarke, Ph.D. is the Senior Deputy Director for the Center for Policy, Planning and Evaluation Administration at the District of Columbia’s Department of Health (DC Health).
Dr. Johnson-Clarke has worked with DC Health for the past 25 years. She is responsible for developing an integrated public health information system to support health policy decisions, state health planning activities, research and dissemination activities, performance and direction setting for the department’s programs and for supervising a comprehensive Epidemiology and Health Risk Assessment program. She is also responsible for developing partnerships appropriate to maximizing the collection, analyses and application of population-level health data for the District of Columbia.
Before coming to DC Health, Dr. Johnson-Clarke was responsible for the management and oversight of the World Bank’s Procurement Monitoring System/Management Information System. She was also a researcher at Lawrence Johnson and Associates, Inc.
