DC EMA Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan

District of Columbia Eligible Metropolitan Area Integrated HIV Prevention and Care Plan (DC EMA Integrated Plan)

The DC EMA Integrated Plan is a flexible guide to coordinate HIV prevention and care services across DC and parts of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. It provides a clear path for planning HIV services to support people with HIV in the greater DC area and follows national goals to end the HIV epidemic. Since 2017, there have been three versions of the plan: the first covered 2017-2021, the second covered 2022-2026, and the third is an update to the second plan.

The latest plan has four main goals: 1) prevent new HIV infections, 2) help people with HIV stay healthy, 3) ensure everyone has equal access to HIV prevention and care, regardless of race, ethnicity or gender, and 4) work with partners and the community to plan and deliver HIV prevention and care.
