(Washington, DC) – In response to the shell eggs recall issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week, the DC Department of Health has provided Salmonella fact sheets to help inform residents of Salmonella and its symptoms. The FDA released a nation-wide recall on shell eggs as a result of a Salmonella outbreak that has affected many across the country. At this time there is no evidence that the outbreak has affected the District of Columbia.
