Animal Health Clinics
Free pet vaccine clinics held in each Ward
September 14, 2024 until November 9, 2024

Vaccines offered for dogs and cats: Rabies, Distemper
- No appointments necessary. First come, first served.
- NEW: Line numbers will be given based on capacity.
- The line will close when all numbers are given out or at 12:30 pm, whichever comes first.
- Information on HRA programs and services will be available.
Important Information:
- DC Residents only.
- Dogs must be securely leashed (no more than 4 ft).
- Cats must be in a secure container.
- All animals must be handled by a responsible adult.
- Please bring your pet’s prior vaccine records.
- Dogs and cats over 4-months-old are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies and distemper (free at this event).
- Distemper vaccines may require a booster vaccine based on age and previous vaccine history.
- DC Dogs are required to be registered and must display their license tag on their collar. DC Health staff will be available to help with purchase of dog licenses at this event ($15 for spayed or neutered dogs, $50 for intact dogs). Credit/debit card only.
- This event takes place outside, often with a long wait. Come prepared for your (and your pet's) needs: dress for the weather and bring water, snacks, treats, etc.
