Previously operating under the Food Safety and Hygiene Inspection Services Division (FSHISD), in 2020 The Division of Community Hygiene (DCH) was created, officially separating from the FSHISD. The Division was created bringing together a team of subject matter experts to regulate the Community Hygiene related services that are provided in Washington, DC.

To submit a complaint regarding a Barbershop, Cosmetology or Personal Grooming establishment, Nail Salon, Aquatic Facility or Bedding/Upholstery establishment, please submit your complaint via our online Complaint Form

 

 

Please submit your application via our online Application Portal (Although the Portal log-in page says “Food Portal”, you are in the right place! This portal contains applications for both the Community Hygiene Division and the Food Division).

• Bedding and  Upholstery Registration

• Tanning Equipment and Devices
• Tanning Manager ID
