DC Health’s online Veterinary Facility application system is now LIVE. DC Health’s Health Regulation and Licensing Administration (HRLA) is excited to announce the opening of our new online licensing system. Effective immediately, all Veterinary Facilities in the District are required to submit their Veterinary Facility applications by going to the below link to create an account and submit an online application.

All facilities that provide any aspect of veterinary medical care must apply for and maintain a valid license pursuant to the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations for Animal Facilities (17 DCMR 29).
The District of Columbia’s Veterinary Medical Officer conducts initial and annual inspections of Veterinary Hospitals, as well as inspections following a complaint, as needed.
A new facility license cost $195.00 and the annual renewal fee is at a cost of $170.00. Applicant(s) for licensure must be licensed veterinarian(s). The facility owner/medical director must be a licensed veterinarian in the District.
