If someone is receiving Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits can they be on CSFP?No, it is illegal to participate in both WIC and CSFP simultaneously.

Does CSFP provide benefits for handicapped and physically impaired individuals? If the individual does not meet eligibility requirements they cannot receive CSFP benefits, even if impaired.

Is CSFP open on evenings or weekends? No, only Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-4 pm.

Does CSFP deliver food to clients' homes? In most cases CSFP does not deliver food. If a person is homebound and has no one who can serve as a proxy and pick up food for them, we may be able to.

Does CSFP provide emergency food? No.

How old do I have to be to receive senior benefits? Sixty years or older.

How often do I pick up the food? Once a month.

What information do I need to sign up for CSFP?
- To sign up a child, the parent needs his or her picture identification, address verification (a letter or bill), income verification (pay stub or notice of public assistance payment), and the child's birth certificate.
- A mother or pregnant woman needs her picture ID, address verification, income verification, and birth certificate or notice from physician indicating delivery date.
- A senior citizen needs picture ID, address verification, income verification, verification of birth date, and social security number.

Who is eligible for CSFP?
- Women who are pregnant or who have a child less than 1 year old
- Children from 1 year thru 5 years of age
- Senior citizens 60 and older

Do I have to make an appointment to sign up? No, but you may want to call before coming.

Can someone else pick up the food for me? Yes. A client may have a designated proxy.
